Short version: we use your data to make your book and then leave it alone.

We collect information in two ways: what you actively give us, and what we collect automatically when you use the site.

Information you give us includes:

• Name, email address, and delivery address when you place an order
• Payment details processed through Stripe, which we never store ourselves
• Photos, story answers, recipient name, and any other content you submit during the book creation process

Information we collect automatically includes:

• Browser type, device, pages visited, and time spent on the site
• IP address and general location
• Referral source (how you found us)

We use cookies to keep your session active and to understand how people use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Produce and ship your personalised book
• Communicate with you about your order
• Send transactional emails (order confirmation, dispatch notification)
• Improve the product and fix problems on the site

We do not sell your data. We do not share personal information with third parties for advertising. We do not use your photos or story content to train AI models.

If you opt in to marketing communications during checkout, we may occasionally email you about new features or offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

3. Who We Share Your Information With

We work with a small number of trusted third parties who help us run the service:

• Stripe, for secure payment processing
• Postage and courier services for delivery tracking
• Analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand site usage in aggregate

These partners are only given the information they need to do their job. None of them have permission to use your data for their own marketing purposes.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect the rights and safety of our customers and business.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your order information, including the book content you submitted, for up to 2 years in case you want to reorder or need support. After that, it is deleted from our systems.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will confirm deletion within 14 days, except where we are legally required to keep certain records (such as payment records for tax purposes).

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
• Object to how we use your data
